Lean brisket...smoky, tender, beefy |
Pork ribs...another winner. This place is worth the wait. |
Very Cool! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNo problem...you have to make it out there one of these days. May give Holcomb's a run for its money.
DeleteVery nice coverage D. Thanks for the report. Definitely on the BBQ bucket list.
ReplyDeleteI think that the piece you received which was cut with the grain was from the Point. If so, it is fatty enough that it probably didn't make a difference.
ReplyDeleteMark...you're correct. It is the moist end. Still wondering why he cuts like that. He makes a mighty fine brisket though.
DeleteI wish Austin was closer. If you are in Ksaw you ought to take the short drive up to Scotts Walkup in Cartersville. Good pulled pork sandwich and E. NC sauce. Right by the Booth museum if you are into that sort of thing. As a friendly fyi, the Booth is free on the first weekend of the month for BofA customers. Happy huntin
ReplyDeleteThanks David...Actually went to Scott's shortly after getting back. Been meaning to get up that way for quite a bit. Thanks for the heads up on the Booth museum too.
DeleteDustin nice pics man. He opened right when we left Austin. Next time we go back I'll definitely have to try. It's going to be hard to beat Louie Muellers!
